THE MEANING OF THE WORD 'PERFECT:
The Hebrew word "tamiym," (taw-meem'), translated "perfect" in Genesis 17:1, etc., is often translated "without blemish," "upright," "without spot," "whole," "sincerely," "complete," and "full" in the Authorized King James Version. The New American Standard Bible (NASB) translates it "blameless," with marginal notes stating: "Lit., complete, perfect, or having integrity."
