Fertility Control Agents in the Water Supply?

They Call That 'Pro-Choice'?

DIANE DEW

in The Standard 1/10/93

Just how 'pro-choice' can an agency be that advocates the introduction of fertility control agents into the water supply? compulsory abortion of out-of-wedlock pregnancies? enforced sterilization after two children? stock certificate-type permits for children? compulsory education? postponement or avoidance of marriage? the promotion of homosexuality? restrictive housing policies and discouragment of private home ownership for larger families? encouraging women to work? elimination of subsidies to large families? marriage and child taxes? elimination of paid maternity leave? and the altering of society's image of the ideal family size?

In an article published in Planned Parenthood's own Family Planning Perspectives October 1970, based on a memorandum by Planned Parenthood leader Frederick S. Jaffe to Bernard Berelson March 11, 1969, these very controls are proposed as solutions to reduce U.S. fertility.

These tactics would be imposed through the following socially-dictated "deterrents" and "incentives" (their words):

o  the elimination of publicly-financed medical care, housing, loans, scholarships and subsidies to families who refuse to comply with the "< n children" plan. (Is this religious discrimination, or what?)

o  modification of tax policies to include a "substantial marriage tax," "child tax," and preferential treatment toward those who remain single or have fewer than two chidlren. Tax exemption for parents could be eliminated altogether.

o  reduction or elimination of paid maternity leave or benefits.

Compulsory constraints ... increased controls ... restrictions ... limitations ... deterrents ...

Doesn't sound very choice-oriented to me! Sounds as though they want to remove what control we have over our lives, our families, our future.

And these people want to "keep government out of the bedroom"?

If Planned Parenthood really were pro-choice, it would promote (demand) public education on post-abortion trauma, so women could make informed choices. ("Choice" does seem to imply the existence of at least two options.) As it is, however, efforts to inform are not only squelched; they are condemned. (Ignorance is deception's closest bedfellow.) ...

Planned Parenthood is far from pro-choice. It is simply pro-abortion. Otherwise, the organization would encourage the dissemination of information on the psychological and physical after-effects of abortion.

In fact, studies have shown that only one in four who ener an abortion mill are advised of these risks. (The Psychological Sequelae of Abortion: Fact and Fallacy, by MH Liebman, MD and Jolie S Zimmer)

Planned Parenthood claims to want women to have the right to "control their own bodies." What they really seek, however, is governmental control over the most basic areas of family life, including: marriage, the education of children, sex, child care, health care, employment, even finances.

When it comes to consumer protection and product or service liability, the government requires more of breakfast cereal manufacturers, than of abortionists.

I refuse to refer to abortionists as doctors. Physicians preserve and protect life. Butchers and Satanists mutilate.

If what abortionists do for a living is so innocent, why aren't they listed in the Yellow Pages under "A"? Why hide what they do under the guise of "gynecology"?

An inherent shame lurks behind the act of abortion. Anyone who thinks otherwise should consider: What answer do they offer, when asked of their occupation?

Imagine this: "I chop up helpless, innocent babies. I tear them, limb by limb. For money." Or, "I burn baby bodies with a saline solution."

It's a shame, all right. A crying shame.

"For they are a nation lacking in counsel & there is no understanding in them. Would that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would discern their future!" Deut 32:28 "They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons & their daughters...& the land was polluted with blood..." Psa106:38

Who Funds Planned Parenthood
& Other Pro-Abortion Groups?

Your insurance company?
Your favorite department store?
Your breakfast cereal maker?
Your news provider?

Why should we care what they do with their money?
"Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Luke 12:34

In other words, media dedicated enough to a cause to support it
financially probably also are biased toward that issue in their reporting.
