The Rev. Sun Myung Moon himself is Christ returned.
Yearbook of the National Council of Churches of Korea, p. 58

"Christ will be born in a country in the East ... and will place a seal on the foreheads of the 144,000. Divine Principle, p 520

"If anyone says to you, 'Lo, here is the Christ,' or 'There he is,' do not believe it. Behold, I have told you in advance." (Mat 24:23)

"Take heed that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and they will lead many astray." (Mat 24:4)

The sacrifice of Calvary:

The crucifixion of Jesus did not take place according to God's plan, but represented the failure of his mission.

"He [Jesus] must come again to consummate the mission he left undone 2,000 years ago. He was crucified ... not given a chance to restore his bride." CIC, p. 27

"Christ will come as before, as a man in the flesh, and he will establish a family through marriage to his Bride, a woman in the flesh and they will become the True Parents of all mankind. Through our accepting the True Parents (the Second Coming of Christ), obeying them and following htem, our original sin will be eliminated and we will eventually become perfect." DUTA

The sacrifice of Calvary was the very purpose of Christ's coming:

"The Son of Man came ... to give His life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45; cp. Luke 24:25)

"This man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God.... For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified." (Hebrews 10:12, 14)

Complete salvation through Christ:

"Jesus could not accomplish the providence of physical salvation, because his body was invaded by Satan (at the crucifixion) ... however devout a man of faith may be, he cannot fulfill physical salvation through Jesus' crucifixion alone ... salvation through redemption by the cross is spiritual only." Divine Principle, p. 148

"All of human history shall be summed up in Christ; everything that exists, in heaven and earth, shall find its perfection and fulfillment in Him." (Ephesians 1:10)

"For in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of His cross." (Colossians 1:19)

Christ's mission:

"Jesus did not come to be persecuted and die on the cross." Divine Principle Study Guide, p. 132

"For the Son of Man also came ... to give His life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45)

"But as it is, He has appeared once for all ... to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself." (Hebrews 9:26)

The crucifixion:

"... being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God ..." Acts 2:23; 3:18)

The prophets foretold the crucifixion. (Isaiah 53)

Jesus said, "I lay my life down. No one takes it from me."

The deity of Jesus:

"Jesus, on earth, was a man no different from us except for the fact that he was without original sin." Divine Principle, p. 212

"... he can by no means be God Himself." Divine Principle, p. 211

"... all things were created through Him and for Him. He is before all things and in Him all things hold together ... for in Him all the fulness of deity dwells bodily." (Colossians 1:16, 14; 2:9
King of kings; Lord of lords:

"Jesus was chosen to be Lord of lords, but because he could not complete his work he was unable to attain that position." Divine Principle and Its Application, p. 196

"Keep the commandment without stain or reproach, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ ... He who is the blessed and only sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords." (1 Timothy 6:14, 15)
The manner of his second coming:

"It is absolutely incomprehensible to the intellect of modern men that the Lord would come on the clouds." Divine Principle, p. 500

"This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw Him go into heaven." (Acts 1:11)

"... they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." (Matthew 24:30)

The Godhead:

"Man is the visible; and God is the invisible form. God and man are one. Man is incarnate God ... as important in value as God Himself. CIC, p. 5

The Lord alone is God. There is no other besides him. (Deuteronomy 4:35)
Reincarnation:

"The spirit men who left their missions unaccomplished on earth descend to earthly men ... and cooperate with them for the accomplishment of the will .... In this case, the earthly man is the 'second coming' of the spirit man ... John the Baptist ... had to accomplish the mission Elijah had left unaccomplished." Divine Principle, pp. 187, 188
